This steam-bent and laminated oak handrail was fabricated and installed in a vintage home in Sausalito, California. It perfectly complements the oak and mahogany staircase and iron balustrade.

Hand-carved transition blocks at lower-left and middle right link the graceful curves of this stair rail's three lower sections.
A closer look at the one of the transition pieces.
Each section was built on forms before final hand working and assembly.
The sweeping curve of the rail follows that of the iron balustrade.
The first section, as seen from the living room, leads dramatically to the arched-top entry door at left.

Sumptuous cherry paneling and site-built elements such as the fireplace mantel adorn an office in a home overlooking the San Francisco Bay. From floor to ceiling this room is a stunning example of the beauty we can bring to any home. The rich look and feel of polished wood creates a meditative and reflective environment for this homeowner.

Revana Family Vineyard, St. Helena, Napa Valley, California. The mahogany fireplace mantle of the tasting room was site-built. In addition, I installed the three-inch-thick, arched entry doors of the tasting room. I also assisted in the fabrication of the coffered ceiling as well as the hanging of the mahogany barn doors on the barrel and fermentation rooms.

Media Cabinet / Room Divider - Ridgetop Home In Marin County, California

This floor-to-ceiling cabinet divides the living room and foyer with clean, contemporary lines.
Someone feels right at home.
The client also requested that we fabricate two coffee tables of solid cherry. The design is based on an example he found at a Swedish chain furniture store which he liked except for the less-than-quality material of which it was constructed. It was a simple task given my willingness to meet my client's needs.
